Jason Segel and Michelle Williams are dating! A source confirmed the relationship to US Weekly and the pair was photographed arm and arm as they walked the streets of Brooklyn after a meal at Frankies Spuntino in the New York neighborhood. They seemed rather happy with the 31-year-old actress laughing while the “How I Met Your Mother” actor put his arm around her.
The next day the “I Love You, Man” star was photographed spending time with Matilda, Williams’ 6-year-old daughter, as she went for a ride on her scooter.
While at first glance they might seem like a rather odd couple, in many ways their pairing makes a lot of sense. They’ve known each other for years through Segel’s “Freaks and Geeks” costar Busy Philipps who is the BFF of the “Drive” actress. While they live on opposite coasts, with the petite blonde in Brooklyn and the 32-year-old “Jeff, Who Lives at Home” actor based in Los Angeles, the source says they are “trying to make it work,” and commented, “She hasn’t been this happy in a long time.”
The “Blue Valentine” star needs to laugh after going through the tragedy of losing her daughter’s father, Heath Ledger, in January 2008 to an accidental overdose. She’s always tried to stay out of the spotlight and has only been linked to one other person since the Australian actor’s death, dating Spike Jonze for about a year.
The single mom is likely to be full of smiles with the comedian around her. Who wouldn’t be happy around “The Muppets” star? While he may not be the traditional sexy Hollywood hunk, he is cute, but most important, we think he is truly a good guy.
Segel called making “The Muppets” his dream come true and said that Kermit the Frog is, “the moral compass of the Muppets and he’s the every man, the glue that holds it all together.” He added, “I think what separates the Muppets (from other comedies) is that they never get laughs at other people’s expense. Their jokes are kind and honest and pure. Even as an adult when you turn on the Muppets, you’re reminded of the best version of yourself, that sense of wide-eyed wonder that the world beats out of you.”
When the “Forgetting Sarah Marshall” star started using Twitter just this past November, he tweeted, “Hello tweet universe! This is Jason Segel and this is my first official tweet! Thank you for having me. I look forward to meeting you all!” Shortly afterward he added , “This is the best day ever. So many new friends already. I will do my best to make equal time for most of you.”
The 32-year-old is genuinely grateful for his career in addition to being kind, funny and ever-smiling. Who wouldn’t want a man like that around their child? We only hope Williams appreciates what she’s got, because he may be the best of the best when it comes to men in Hollywood.
Having grown up a small town Montana girl, the “My Week with Marilyn” star might also be a little less high maintenance then many Tinseltown starlets . We only hope she appreciates what she’s got, because Segel may be the best of the best when it comes to men in Hollywood.

Ricky Martin, long before Lohan brings her own brand of crazy to the show, the Latin Crooner shimmied in with his own la vida loco. Martin was on hand for a one episode appearance to help Will Schuester transition from Spanish teacher to history teacher. The episode, “The Spanish Teacher”, showcased Shu’s limited Spanish skills in which he turned to the school’s night school Spanish Teacher, David Martinez, to help him improve his skills. Ultimately Will turned over the Spanish duties to the new character leaving the door open for potential future appearances.
Nene Leakes, She’s much more than a housewife! Hot on the heals of her successful appearance on “The Celebrity Apprentice”, the reality star took on her first acting role as synchronized swimming coach Roz Washington. The character has appeared in several episodes and has been a perfect match to help Coach Sue Sylvester get her fighting spirit back. She must have left quite an impression on “Glee” creator Ryan Murphy who has cast her in a recurring role for his new comedy, “The New Normal”.
